Digital Product Designer + Front-End Developer

Hi, I'm Michelle—a UX digital product designer and front-end developer based in Maple Ridge, BC.

For more than two decades, I've been designing and building digital experiences that help businesses connect with their audiences and solve real-world problems. My work spans websites, web applications, mobile apps, and enterprise software, combining thoughtful design, user-centered thinking, and front-end development to create products that are both beautiful and intuitive.

I graduated with honours from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with a diploma in New Media Production and Design. Early in my career, I worked as the primary web designer and developer for a finance company in Calgary before moving to British Columbia to join CPA Canada, where I spent ten years growing into a senior web designer and developer role.

During my time at CPA Canada, I was recognized with industry awards for digital design excellence, including a Silver Canadian Online Publishing Award for Best Email Newsletter Design and Engagement and a MarCom Gold Award for E-Zine Design.

Now I balance my role as Director of User Experience and Design at Kelowna Software while freelancing and creating personal projects, partnering with organizations of all sizes to create websites, apps, and software that are engaging, accessible, and meaningful.

Whether I'm designing a user journey, refining an interface, or building responsive front-end experiences, my goal is always the same: to create digital products that people genuinely enjoy using.
