Kitchen Inventory Printables - Handy Tools for Simplifying Meal Planning

February 28, 2020

I’ve been working on my meal planning and ideas for years, and have begun to create a system that works in my home. I’m excited to share it with you today!

These kitchen inventory printables can be used for items in your pantry, freezer, fridge and storage/cool room (does anyone else call it that, or is that an old-fashioned term I learned from my family?) to make meal planning quicker and easier. Print out these pages, write in your items and hang them up. When it’s time to plan your meals, take a glance at what’s on these pages to get a quick sense of what’s available and what you need to buy, or gain inspiration for those nights you don’t have a meal already planned.

Suggestions on How to use prints

First, download this printable, then print as many as you need (for example, I print three copies of the panty inventory page to cover the three main pantry cupboards I have).

I personally like to laminate them and use a dry-erase marker, then I can erase and add things over and over, without having to keep using new paper and printer ink. If you don’t have a laminator, your local Staples can help you.

Next, hang it with blue sticky tack (or command strips, or tape, or whatever you have on hand) on your cupboard door so it’s easy to see what’s in the pantry at a glance.

Update as your go along, and enjoy a quick and easy way to simplify meal planning and save money on groceries.

Enjoy!

This makes my meal planning so much quicker instead of having to rummage through the items to remember what I have. I just look at the lists and write out my meals and groceries at the same time. I hope it does the same for you!

What I use…

If you’d like to know what I use for meal planning, it’s Victoria Senge’s Weekly Meal Plan & Market List Notepad, which comes with a perforated section to tear off for groceries. I absolutely love it! And if you’re more on the ball than I am, you can plan as many weeks of meals as you like, just write them in as you go.

Would love to hear if I missed anything…

Did I miss anything, or would you like to see another page in the packet, let me know in the comments below!
